Funds from the UMHMF grant are also being used for the “Breastfeeding Support Groups Project”. This project is being led by parent educators who are trained breastfeeding specialists Diane Kerekanich with the Kansas Health Department and Theresa Weigel with La Leche League. Each of the KPATA regions will have a breastfeeding support group led by Diane, Theresa, or one of their trained colleagues in coordination with the KPATA regional representatives.
