You are invited to join Kansas Action for Children and other prominent advocacy organizations at this year's 2015 Kansas Conference on Poverty, July 15-17 in Topeka.
During the Great Recession unemployment and wage stagnation dealt a crushing blow to the middle class. Today, more than five years later, far too many Kansas families remain poor despite being employed. The 2015 legislative session also created new hardships on Kansas kids and families struggling to make ends meet. We must take action.
Hosted by the Kansas Association of Community Action Programs, the Kansas Conference on Povertywill explore the consequences of continuing poverty and - more importantly - will focus on its solutions.
Kansas needs an economy that works for everyone, where the roadmap to opportunity and the middle class is available to all. Please join us at the conference and be part of drawing that map.
See you soon!
